”Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.„ Maria Montessori

Children learn best when they work at their own pace, using hands-on materials that they can manipulate themselves, and when the environment provides opportunities for free movement and self-discovery. Preschoolers are at the age when a great transformation from dependency to "let me do myself" is taking place. Maria Montessori believed that "no human being is educated by another person." She felt that the goal of early childhood education was to cultivate the child's own natural desire to learn. A truly educated individual continues learning long after the hours and years they have spent in the classroom because that person is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love of knowledge.
